When: 3 weeks T/Th: March 5 & 7, March 26 & 28 and April 9 & 11.

Where: Swanny's Baseball and Training Centre @964 (Bay C) 23rd Street SW

Cost: $60 (registration to open next week)

2000-2006 ~7:00-8:00

Additional Details:
All skill and experience levels are welcome!
Pitcher registrants must provide an adult/or experienced catcher.
ONLY 12 ATHLETES PER AGE GROUP!

Instructor Bios:

Pitching Instructor
Dianna Jordison
Dianna grew up in Saskatchewan playing rep ball from 12-18 years old. After she played on Team Saskatchewan for hardball, at age 18 she went on to play for Team Canada Women's Baseball team in Toronto. She then moved on playing college softball for Montana, Div 1, were she was able to achieve All-American, All-Conference and All-Regional Teams. After college, Dianna played for a Women's team in Calgary, playing in Canadian Westerns and Nationals. She has since retired playing from the game, however, she still loves the game and is passionate about coaching and teaching the sport, especially pitching.

Courtney Okrainec
Courtney’s softball career started at Notre Dame Academy in Medicine Hat where she had amazing teachers and fell in love with the sport. She played on MHMSA House League and Rep Teams until she received the opportunity to play on the rep team that hosted the Western Canadian Championships. Her team placed 3rd Provincially in the follow year, but she was picked up by a team in Calgary that won Provincials and travelled to Westerns once again.In college, Courtney played for Williston State College in North Dakota for 2 years. During her second season, Williston made it to the district tournament, just one step shy of the national tournament. In the summers Courtney traveled to Calgary where she played on the Calgary Kaizen “A” level rep team. Since graduating from Williston State College she has played in the Redcliff Ladies League and has coached two high school softball teams. Courtney believe that softball has been a huge part of her life and hopes to continue to bring the love of the sport to others.

Madison Hope
Madison recently moved here from Winnipeg, where she grew up playing softball and then went on to pitch at the Division 1 level at Loyola University Chicago. She finished her last two years at South Dakota State University. Having just finished up playing at the collegiate level this May 2018, she is looking to share her passion about the game with other young athletes.
Fast facts: D1 pitcher @South Dakota State University 2014-2018, All-Summit League First Team, Pitched for the Canadian Junior National Team in 2015, Silver Medalist on Team Manitoba at Western Canada Summer Games in 2011, 2012 & 2011 MVP Canadian National Championships

Catching Instructor
Michelle Robinson
Michelle grew up playing fastball locally and was a part of the Redcliff Ladies Fastball League through high school and college. She played one season in Calgary’s Ladies Fastball League. From very early on, she was always the team’s dedicated catcher. Later in life she played slo pitch both in Medicine Hat and in Manitoba. She is excited to continue being a part of Softball in Medicine Hat both as an assistant coach and mom to a U14 Softball player.

222’s Fastpitch 2 Day Instructional Camp
May 4 and 5
U10/U12 + U14/high school groupings

- Location: Medicine Hat, AB - tbd

- Providing Numbers are there, we will split into an older and younger group once registrations are all in.

- Younger Group (2007 and younger)

- Older Group (2006 and older)

** Groups may need to be altered a bit once we get registrations all in.

- Younger group will run 9am to 12:30pm both Saturday and Sunday

- Older group will run 1pm to 4:30pm both Saturday and Sunday

 

Overall, 7 hours of instruction focusing on the following skills (Pitching/Catching/Throwing and Catching Mechanics/Hitting/Infield/Outfield/Base-running and more!
